Each I/O pin can source or sink up to 25 mA, but the total package dissipation limit (typically 800 mW for the SOIC-28 wide-body) restricts simultaneous high-current drive on all 20 pins. For high-current (> 25 mA) outputs, use the I/O pin to drive a discrete MOSFET or Darlington pair instead of direct connection.
